Cabin fever has kicked in and the Kilcher family is back after a winter for the history books. Three generations of Kilchers proudly live off the land that Yule Kilcher homesteaded over 80 years ago after fleeing Switzerland in search of a free and simple life. The Kilcher family resides on their homestead consisting of over 640 acres of Alaskan wilderness. Each year, they must take full advantage of the brief spring and summer seasons to prepare for the oncoming eight months of freezing cold. Food supplies must be restocked, not just for themselves, but for their livestock as well. Hunting and gathering, gardening and raising the livestock are all extremely important tasks that must be done in order to ensure the family will make it through one more cold Alaskan winter.

One of America’s greatest achievements is also one of its most controversial. Now a team of experts investigate if there was a conspiracy to fake the moon landing. Former NASA astronaut Leland Melvin joins a group tackling conspiracy theories about the moon landing — and the space program in general. Truth Behind the Moon Landing will focus on several space-related conspiracy claims, among them whether we actually landed on the moon 50 years ago on July 20, 1969.

Battlebots – Friday, November 1 @ 9p
The epic robot-fighting series returns, featuring the biggest, baddest, strongest and fastest next-generation robots from all corners of the globe ! Each match consists of two robots competing in a single, three-minute bout in which the goal is to destroy or disable the opponent. If there is no knockout during the battle, a panel of judges declares the winner. Returning favorites, including Tombstone, Minotaur, Chomp, Witch Doctor, Bronco, and Yeti, are challenged by newcomers looking for their pound of metal. In addition to the bouts, the series highlights the design and build of each robot, bot builder backstories, and the pursuit of the “BattleBots” championship. Chris Rose and Kenny Florian call the action, Jenny Taft serves as the sideline reporter, and Faruq Tauheed is the ring announcer.

Hurricanes: Rogue Earth – Sunday, November 3 @ 8p
First person accounts tell the story of Hurricane Matthew, the Category 5 Atlantic hurricane which caused catastrophic damage in the Caribbean, and widespread damage in the southeastern US, killing at least 10 people in Florida, completely submerging coastal areas and cities like Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, and leaving over 1 million residents without power. As Weather Channel Senior Hurricane Specialist, Bryan Norcross, delivers an impassioned plea for people to take the hurricane seriously, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram buzz with images and videos of the growing devastation, and President Obama declares a federal state of emergency.
